💼 About This Role

You'll be a key member of the ALSO Embedded firmware team, working on greenfield development of next-generation small EVs. You'll own the release pipeline and build automation for embedded firmware, driving velocity from concept to launch. This is a rare opportunity to shape the team's practices as the first Release Engineer.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Configure GitLab CI/CD and scripts for embedded firmware automation
• Own and maintain the release pipeline across teams
• Build, scale, and secure CI, build pipelines, and verification automation
• Identify and automate repetitive tasks to boost development velocity

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in release engineering, build systems, or developer tooling
• 5+ years programming in Python or similar
• Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, and configuration
• Experience with embedded build toolchains for C/C++ and RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Bazel, Docker, PyTest
• Familiarity with Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Track record of standing up new build and release systems
