💼 About This Role

You'll serve as Astro Mechanica's first in-house legal leader, owning the full legal function across commercial, regulatory, and strategic workstreams. You'll act as a true executive partner to the CEO and leadership, bringing business judgment to every legal decision and helping scale the legal function as the company grows. This role offers the opportunity to navigate complex aerospace regulations and shape legal strategy at a cutting-edge startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Anticipate and mitigate legal and regulatory risks
• Own contract review, negotiation, and drafting across all business areas
• Lead negotiations with vendors, partners, and government agencies
• Manage corporate governance, equity, and subsidiary structures

📋 Requirements

• 8–12+ years of legal experience
• Experience at a top-tier law firm and in-house at a high-growth company
• Expertise in government contracting law (ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS)
• Experience with venture-backed fundraising legal workstreams
