💼 About This Role

You'll own reliability and operational excellence for Pylon's vertically integrated mortgage platform, building monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes. You'll spend over 50% of your time writing code to automate infrastructure and improve core services. This role is for those who thrive on high agency and delivering outcomes without direction.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
• Build infrastructure tooling to automate operational burden
• Establish on-call rotations and incident response runbooks
• Contribute to core services for reliability improvements

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years experience in SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering
• Experience working on a team of SREs with mature practices
• Real on-call experience at scale in large production environments
• Deep AWS expertise (ECS, RDS, networking, security)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience at companies with strong SRE cultures (Google, Replit, Stripe)
• Background in fintech, healthtech, or other regulated domains
• Contributions to infrastructure tooling or open source projects
