💼 About This Role

You'll work across Waymo's codebase to fix time-sensitive scaling bottlenecks for our Ride Hailing product and build tools to monitor and improve driving behavior. You'll identify problems that fall between teams and collaborate with stakeholders to solve them. This hybrid role lets you quickly ramp up across many parts of the Waymo stack while reporting to a Technical Lead Manager.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Fix time-sensitive scaling bottlenecks for Ride Hailing product
• Build tools to monitor and improve driving behavior
• Identify problems and pain points between teams and solve them
• Ramp up and contribute across many parts of the Waymo stack

📋 Requirements

• BS/MS/PHD in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Programming experience in C++ with robust and efficient code
• Ability to rapidly ramp up on new codebases/projects
• Collaboration within and across teams

✨ Nice to Have

• 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Experience using SQL to collect and analyze data
