💼 About This Role

You'll lead a team building the software stack for Atom Computing's quantum platform, defining technical direction across APIs, cloud integrations, and researcher workflows. Your work will enable customers to program and operate next-generation quantum systems at scale. This is a greenfield development opportunity at the intersection of distributed systems, cloud, HPC, and quantum technologies.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor 8-10 software engineers to perform at their best.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to set architecture and roadmap.
• Oversee integrations with quantum frameworks like CUDA-Q, Qiskit, Cirq.
• Drive performance optimization across classical and quantum workloads.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of post-degree software engineering experience.
• 2+ years managing a team, including hiring and coaching.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Rust, or C++.
• Experience designing high availability distributed systems.

✨ Nice to Have

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with quantum computing or HPC.
• Database programming with Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
