💼 About This Role

You'll embed with teams across Brex to understand workflows and design, build, and ship AI agents that automate internal functions. You'll own the full lifecycle from scoping to deployment, working with LLMs and agent frameworks to deliver real outcomes. This role offers high autonomy and cross-functional impact in a hybrid Vancouver office.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Embed with partner teams to understand workflows and job functions.
• Scope, design, and deploy agents for internal workflows.
• Integrate agents with internal systems, APIs, and data sources.
• Define evaluation frameworks and success metrics for agent performance.
• Build shared tooling and playbooks to accelerate deployments.

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years in engineering or applied AI with a track record of shipping AI systems to production.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agent frameworks, and tool-use patterns (MCP, function calling, RAG).
• Experience designing and optimizing SQL and/or NoSQL databases including data modeling and query tuning.
• Strong ability to decompose human workflows into scalable agentic systems.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience automating back-office functions rather than customer-facing AI features.
• Experience with OpenClaw, Hermes, or other general-purpose agent harnesses.
