Description

You will conduct laboratory tests on dust explosivity, analyze data, prepare technical reports, and manage sample data, collaborating with an experienced scientist to advance fire and life safety.

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized Engineering Technologist program or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Detail-oriented with accuracy and thoroughness
• Strong writing and communication skills in English
• Physical: able to wear half-face/full-face respirator and lift up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests (go/no-go, explosion severity, MIT, MIE, LOC, MEC, LIT) per ASTM Standards
• Analyze test results and prepare detailed technical reports on dust explosivity
• Engage with clients across North America and globally on fire and life safety
• Manage incoming sample data (SDS, sample size, test requirements) with attention to detail
• Oversee responsible disposal of unused samples
