💼 About This Role

You'll build, scale, and maintain the core infrastructure powering Knock's product notification platform. Your impact will ensure 99.95% uptime and support 10x to 100x growth. You'll have high autonomy and ownership on a remote-first team backed by top investors.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Adopt and modernize a Terraform-backed EKS cluster for scale and reliability
• Troubleshoot and scale Postgres, queues, and other data infrastructure
• Identify scaling issues proactively using Datadog, CloudWatch, and Honeycomb
• Maintain and improve >99.95% uptime track record

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years experience as a DevOps engineer in a startup or mid-sized company
• Experience working on production Kubernetes clusters using infrastructure as code
• Experience with complex AWS deployments including multi-account and EKS
• Experience operating and scaling database technologies like Aurora Postgres, Mongo, or ClickHouse

• Experience operating and scaling queues/streams like SQS, Kinesis, or Kafka
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex
