Description

As a Senior Field Process Engineer at ASM, you will serve as the on-site technical expert for customers, troubleshooting malfunctions, managing escalations, and leading equipment qualification. You'll design and conduct experiments to meet customer needs, drive continuous improvement, and build long-term relationships.

Requirements

• Master's degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, or related field
• Hands-on R&D experience in industry or academia
• Advanced troubleshooting and structured problem analysis methodologies
• Fluent English and conversational Japanese (JLPT N2 or better)
• Residence in Hokkaido or Yokkaichi, Japan (relocation assistance provided)

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact for customers, troubleshooting and managing escalations
• Design and conduct experiments for new process development, CIP, and troubleshooting
• Lead equipment qualification during installation/start-up to meet specifications and schedule
• Drive containment and short/long-term solutions to achieve customer requirements
• Develop and maintain technical information, sharing lessons learned across organization
