Description

As a Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer II, you will develop high-performance satellite deployment systems and bus configurations for customers. You'll work on concepts for science and interplanetary missions, own component designs from concept through production, and support proposals and mission concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Experience with CAD modeling and drawing
• U.S. citizenship required
• Experience with analysis and interpretation of test data (Thermal, Vibe)

Responsibilities

• Support the Business Development team with proposals and mission concepts
• Develop high performance and lightweight satellite systems, mechanisms, and satellite bus configurations
• Develop concepts and satellite configurations for high value science and interplanetary missions
• Define mechanisms on a modern satellite system/bus
• Own component designs from conceptual design through production, test, and operation
