💼 About This Role

You'll join Bluelight's rapidly growing team as a Data Engineer, designing and optimizing ETL pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics. You'll contribute to challenging data projects and ensure data quality and performance for a leading software consultancy. This remote role offers flexible working hours and continuous learning opportunities.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python (PySpark) in Azure Synapse.
• Design data storage structures in MPP SQL Pool with star schemas.
• Extract data from REST APIs, SQL tables, and CSV files.
• Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure pipeline reliability.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with Python (PySpark) for ETL data engineering.
• Proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics resources like Notebooks and Pipelines.
• Ability to write complex SQL queries and optimize performance.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with big data technologies, machine learning, or data analysis.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Azure Data Engineer certification.
