💼 About This Role

You'll build and evolve automated systems to reliably run PitchBook's suite of products, working with a team of SREs and platform engineers. Your core impact will be defining service level objectives and building systems to achieve them using infrastructure-as-code and observability tools. This role stands out for its focus on mentorship and driving reliability best practices across the engineering division.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Establish SLOs, error budgets, and SLIs for systems reliability.
• Build recoverability including disaster recovery and multi-region cloud constructs.
• Manage connectivity, latency, and availability across distributed systems.
• Implement clustering and load balancing for high availability in containerized environments.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years building and maintaining Linux/UNIX systems in cloud environments.
• 5+ years in Reliability Engineering or DevOps using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• 5+ years coding in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, or Go.
• 2+ years with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
