Description

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Ads Data Platform team, you will design and build systems that capture and enforce data compliance while enhancing self-service capabilities. You'll collaborate across teams to drive the platform's vision, empowering data-driven decisions for advertisers, data scientists, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience
• Experience with Spark, ETLs, distributed systems, MapReduce, SQL, and Big Data infrastructure
• Proven ability to manage ambiguity and conflicting requirements
• Self-motivated with strong ownership in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred: 10+ years, Scala, functional programming, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Airflow, Python, Terraform, Go

Responsibilities

• Lead and break down complex problems while keeping the broader data vision in focus
• Collaborate with engineers and provide mentorship, fostering a strong engineering culture
• Contribute to data vision and engineering architecture
• Produce and review technical artifacts aligned with business goals
• Oversee engineering initiatives end-to-end, managing risks and ensuring execution
