Description

As a Power Systems Engineer on the Construction Projects Team, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to design, build, and activate critical infrastructure for aerospace and industrial projects, ensuring reliable power delivery and supporting SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
• 3+ years professional experience with design or build of commercial or industrial power systems
• Primary experience with electrical power distribution systems (600Vac)
• Working knowledge of transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, building lighting, grounding
• Experience with critical power infrastructure like UPS systems, backup generators, automatic transfer switches

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and consulting engineers through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning for power systems
• Develop drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors through close-out
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real-time
• Coordinate with electrical utility provider for reliable power service to critical infrastructure
