๐ผ About This Role
You'll collaborate with the Planner Architecture team to build the software framework and systems integration for Aurora's core motion planning algorithms. Your work will directly influence autonomous vehicle on-road behavior and accelerate the improvement of the autonomy stack through specialized tooling and infrastructure.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Drive cross-functional design and implementation across autonomy subsystems.
- Architect frameworks and interfaces for core motion planning algorithms.
- Build onboard infrastructure to detect and capture anomalous driving behaviors.
- Optimize code paths to minimize latency in safety-critical planner components.
๐ Requirements
- Expertise in Modern C++ for latency-sensitive, safety-critical applications.
- 2+ years of applied industry experience in software engineering focusing on robotics or distributed/asynchronous systems.
- Technical versatility across software architecture, algorithms, data analysis, and system validation.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, data analysis, and automation.

- Advanced degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Familiarity with Motion Planning algorithms or control systems in automotive, aerospace, or robotics.
- Experience in a regulated, safety-critical environment with systems engineering methodologies.
