💼 About This Role

You'll design, administer, and optimize PostgreSQL databases in on-premises and cloud environments for mission-critical federal government applications. You'll take deep technical ownership of database platforms and maintain stability, performance, and security under constant operational demand. This role offers the chance to work with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines supporting containerized operations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, administer, and optimize databases in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Perform database performance tuning, backups, replication, and recovery.
• Enforce access controls, auditing, governance, and retention policies.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and support containerized database operations.

📋 Requirements

• Active Top Secret with current or previously held SCI access.
• Certification meeting DoD 8140 (e.g., Security+, GSEC, or higher).
• 5+ years of experience as a database administrator or engineer with primary focus on PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing, implementing, managing, and tuning PostgreSQL databases in enterprise environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience owning high availability and disaster recovery configurations for PostgreSQL.
• Experience enforcing database security controls including encryption and compliance auditing.
