Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission or seeking admission to practice law in New York State
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake and provide full legal representation in housing court proceedings
- Litigate cases in housing court, administrative forums, appellate courts, and state/federal courts
- Develop expertise in housing court practice, housing programs, subsidies, and public benefits
- Conduct neighborhood-based legal clinics and know-your-rights workshops
- Provide trainings to advocates, tenant associations, and community groups
