💼 About This Role

You'll lead a small, nimble team of ML scientists as a player-coach, splitting time between technical execution and management. You'll drive 0→1 ML innovation for products like our subscription-based line of credit, building core models from scratch. This role offers meaningful strategic scope and a roughly 50/50 split between coding and leadership.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Act as player-coach: write code, review PRs, and understand model nuances.
• Own ML strategy for a product area like Cash Line or Auto Retail.
• Drive 0→1 ML efforts or optimize mature models at scale.
• Translate model predictions into customer-friendly lending outcomes.

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years developing and deploying production ML models.
• Advanced degree in quantitative field (CS, statistics, economics, etc.).
• Proven track record leading high-impact ML initiatives from research to production.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to dive deep into model design and data analysis.

✨ Nice to Have

• PhD in CS, statistics, or related field.
• Success building and scaling new ML products from inception.
• Familiarity with consumer finance like lending or lines of credit.
