💼 About This Role

You'll design and implement firmware for Formlabs' 3D printers, working on a team that ties software, hardware, and electronics together. Your work will ship code to tens of thousands of devices and enable new printer features. You'll collaborate with product managers and designers to build the right features for customers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, test, and ship development tools and prototype code
• Ship code for new printer features to deployed devices
• Ensure code re-use with focus on maintainability, testing, and CI
• Collaborate with product managers and designers on feature decisions

📋 Requirements

• Written code that lives on hardware products
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python for embedded software
• Experience with embedded software architecture patterns like filtering, control loops, and remote procedure calls
• Willingness to take initiative and learn from failures

• User-focused mindset
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts for non-software stakeholders
