Description

You will join StepStone's Private Equity Investment Team to conduct sector-focused research, perform due diligence on private equity funds and companies, analyze financial statements and investment returns, and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee. This role involves market research, financial analysis, and ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance.

Requirements

• BA/BS from a leading university with top quartile academic background
• 1+ years of private equity, investment banking, consulting, or relevant experience
• Native or fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
• Strong analytical and quantitative/modeling skills
• High proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Perform market research using public information and proprietary databases to analyze macroeconomic trends across industry sectors
• Interpret financial analyses of target fund managers, including track records and financial statements; prepare valuation analyses using comparable companies and precedent transactions
• Assess marketing materials of prospective fund managers to identify value drivers and areas for further investigation
• Form independent opinions on sector or investment attractiveness and communicate arguments verbally and in writing
• Monitor performance of existing fund managers and portfolio companies; conduct ongoing due diligence
