💼 About This Role

You'll lead back-of-house operations for Fixins Soul Kitchen's Detroit location, overseeing daily kitchen activities and staff. Your core impact will be ensuring high-quality, timely meals while managing inventory, food costs, and safety standards. You'll join a rapidly expanding Black-owned restaurant group with a unique soul food concept.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
  • Supervise food prep, cooking, and plating techniques
  • Maintain inventory, orders, and cost reports
  • Enforce sanitation and safety standards

📋 Requirements

  • Proven work experience as Kitchen Manager or Head Chef
  • Hands-on experience with menu planning and ordering ingredients
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

✨ Nice to Have

  • Culinary school certification or degree in Restaurant Management
  • Food Handler’s Card and RBS Certification
