You'll design and train lightweight ASR models for mobile and embedded devices at Plaud, an AI note-taking company with 1.5M+ users. You'll optimize models using quantization and knowledge distillation to meet edge constraints.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and train lightweight ASR models for mobile/embedded devices
• Optimize models via quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation
• Manage multilingual speech data cleaning and augmentation
• Collaborate with engineering on model deployment and conversion

📋 Requirements

• Master's or PhD in CS, Signal Processing, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in speech algorithms
• Expert-level command of PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Deep proficiency in an E2E ASR framework like Wenet, Espnet, or Icefall

✨ Nice to Have

• Deploying voice features on resource-constrained chips
• Familiarity with edge-native architectures like Zipformer or Paraformer
• Publications on model lightweighting or on-device ASR at ICASSP or Interspeech
