Description

As a School Registered Behavior Technician, you will work directly with students in the classroom, implementing behavior therapy techniques and collaborating with teachers to support individuals with Autism and other IDDs. You'll collect behavior data, document progress, and help students build independence and interpersonal skills. This role is critical for fostering academic success and personal growth in a school setting.

Requirements

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certified or desire to pursue certification (paid for by BAYADA)
• At least 18 years of age
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR passage of ParaPro Praxis assessment
• Experience working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support students
• Document interventions and progress toward goals, collect behavior data as specified
• Provide training and assistance to help students acquire and maintain skills and meet goals
