Description

As a Lead Avionics Manufacturing Engineer at Rocket Lab, you will develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes for avionics components and assemblies. You'll coach engineers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure production excellence to support space missions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Mechanical)
• 5+ years manufacturing experience
• Personnel leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of EEE parts, PCB, PCBA, and electromechanical assembly
• Experience with electronic circuits and manufacturing techniques

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers
• Conduct performance reviews and hire candidates
• Create team goals and metrics for continuous improvement
• Oversee new product introduction and design for manufacture/test
• Lead root cause corrective action investigations
