Description

You will lead the architectural vision and technical strategy for a data migration suite that helps customers migrate from legacy relational databases to MongoDB in real-time. You'll contribute core code solving scalability challenges, collaborate with product management and engineering leadership, and mentor engineers to foster technical excellence.

Requirements

• 8+ years commercial software development with JVM language (Java)
• Extensive experience with streaming data platforms (Apache Kafka) and CDC tools (Debezium)
• Extensive experience with relational data modeling and SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL)
• Thought leadership on emerging technologies and best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural vision and technical strategy for the data migration engine
• Contribute core, foundational code solving hardest scalability problems
• Partner with Engineering Leadership, Product Management, and Design to shape technical roadmap
• Define and champion engineering best practices and standards across multiple teams
• Mentor Senior and Mid-level engineers to cultivate technical excellence
