Description

You will perform inspection, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance on photovoltaic systems and related electrical equipment. You'll diagnose electrical issues, perform testing, and complete repairs on DC and AC components, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. This role supports both preventative and corrective maintenance across solar installations and requires 100% travel.

Requirements

• Active Journeyman Electrician License
• 3+ years utility-scale solar experience (not residential)
• Experience working on megawatt-scale PV systems
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA/NFPA 70E safety standards

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of PV systems including wiring, combiner boxes, and disconnects
• Perform electrical testing including LOTO, insulation resistance (megger) testing, and infrared thermography
• Support troubleshooting of solar system issues including string-level and system-level faults
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar power plant equipment
• Complete required documentation including work orders, service reports, and time logs
