Description

You will ensure optical test systems are operational, triage test failures, build and validate automated hardware test systems, fabricate cable harnesses, and design assembly fixtures to improve manufacturing processes. This role is critical to the rapid development of Starlink's space laser hardware.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 2+ years professional experience in hands-on manufacturing environment OR bachelor's in engineering, math, science
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experience with CAD software (NX, TeamCenter) and programming (Python, C++)
• Experience with production and environmental testing (thermal, HASS) for electronic assemblies

Responsibilities

• Ensure optical test systems and areas are operating properly
• First level triage of test failures by reading logs and telemetry
• Build and validate automated hardware test systems for production
• Fabricate and repair cable harnesses including crimping, soldering, assembling connectors
• Design and implement assembly fixtures/shop aides to improve manufacturing and test processes
