You will design and build scalable, secure systems that accelerate engineering productivity at Careem. You'll architect backend solutions using Java and Golang, drive data and AI initiatives, and mentor engineers while shaping technical culture in the Middle East.

• Expertise in Java, Golang, and modern platforms
• Experience with machine learning, platformization, and agentic AI
• Product mindset and ability to shape roadmaps and drive technical decisions
• Strong mentorship and knowledge sharing skills

• Design and build scalable, secure, maintainable internal engineering systems
• Define system architecture for complex backend systems with Java and Golang
• Drive data and AI innovation to improve customer experiences
• Mentor engineers and foster a strong engineering culture across MENA
• Collaborate cross-functionally with platform, product, and security teams
