Description
You will lead the architectural design, development, and sustainment of advanced test range infrastructure and instrumentation systems. You will integrate cutting-edge sensors, data acquisition systems, and telemetry solutions, ensuring robust operation of mission-critical test assets. This role involves technical leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet test and evaluation requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years experience in instrumentation systems architecture or complex range infrastructure development
- Strong understanding of data acquisition, telemetry (IRIG 106), RF systems, and sensor technologies
- Proficiency with SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, CAD, or Python/C++
- Experience with test range infrastructure for high-speed weapons systems and UAVs
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and development of instrumentation systems and range infrastructure
- Define system requirements, specifications, and interface control documents
- Select and integrate telemetry, radar, optics, GPS/PNT, environmental sensors, and acoustic arrays
- Design and implement data acquisition, processing, storage, and analysis pipelines
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support during test operations
