💼 About This Role

You'll be the second machinist at Antares, setting up and operating multi-axis CNC mills and lathes for prototyping nuclear components. Your work will directly impact the development of next-generation microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space use. You'll provide critical feedback to engineering to improve manufacturability and own the full machining process from setup to inspection.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Set up and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Monitor, replace, and re-set cutting tools.
• Deburr parts and inspect with manual gages.
• Provide feedback to engineering for manufacturability improvements.

📋 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of CNC mill and lathe setup/operation.
• Ability to read and understand G-code, engineering drawings, and GD&T.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with stainless steel, exotic alloys (Inconel), or graphite.
• Experience with Fanuc CNC controllers.
• Experience in an R&D machining environment.
