You will design, implement, and optimize UI frameworks and rendering systems that power Roku's streaming platform, working on performance-critical code to deliver smooth visual experiences across millions of devices. You'll collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with UI frameworks or application development
• Advanced BrightScript (or JavaScript-like) skills and proficiency in Python
• Knowledge and hands-on experience using C++
• Strong root cause analysis skills and clear technical communication
• Experience with AI applications and generative AI tools

Responsibilities

• Build scalable UI features optimized for millions of users
• Lead technical investigations and architect solutions across middleware, UI frameworks, and rendering pipelines
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities and use generative AI tools to accelerate development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver global platform features
• Develop engineering tooling, frameworks, and automated workflows
