💼 About This Role

You'll design and build large-scale, highly reliable systems for the Merchant Tooling subteam of Inventory, supporting Whatnot's largest sellers. Your work will enable seamless data synchronization across marketplace, ecommerce, ERP, and enterprise systems. This role offers the chance to shape the foundation for enterprise seller onboarding and scaling.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Deliver seamless bi-directional data synchronization across systems
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Architect and evolve enterprise-grade systems for rapid growth
• Contribute to the broader Inventory team roadmap with hands-on implementation

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of generalist software development experience in high growth startups
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience building scalable systems with Python, Elixir, JavaScript
• Ability to work across the stack (backend and frontend)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Shopify, Channel Advisor, Magento, or other ecommerce SAAS
• Experience in domain driven design
• Scalability and data pipeline experience with SQL, dbt
