Description

You will travel to customer sites in New York State and occasionally other US regions to perform post-delivery inspections and repairs on new buses, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical defects, and serve as a liaison between customers and the factory. Your work ensures buses are placed into service quickly and reliably, directly supporting community transit operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Commercial Bus Industry
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsements preferred

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to perform post-delivery inspections and repairs on new buses
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and perform necessary repairs
• Troubleshoot supplier issues and facilitate resolutions
• Document failure analysis using field reports, photos, and failed material analysis
• Provide driver and mechanic orientations for GILLIG buses
