Tech Stack

Description

You will design, develop, and test software that controls and simulates SpaceX flight systems, working with hardware engineers to debug across the entire stack. Your work directly supports the mission of enabling human life on Mars through the development of the Starship spacecraft.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS, engineering, math, or science + 4 years experience, or 6+ years professional experience
• 4+ years experience with C++, Python, or Rust
• Experience building real-time embedded or distributed computing systems
• Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing
• Willing to work long hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable autonomous software systems and simulations for validation
• Own all aspects of software development including design, testing, and integration
• Work with counterpart engineering teams to develop launch and vehicle software
• Define and lead impactful projects enabling the Starship mission
• Continuously improve software standards and best practices within Starship Software
