Description

As a Senior Regulatory Engineer, you will interpret and apply codes and standards for electrical distribution products, ensuring compliance and supporting cross-functional teams in new product development and certifications. You will serve as the primary technical interface with certification bodies like UL and conduct training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 3-5 years experience in regulatory compliance or product certification in electrical manufacturing
  • Direct experience working with UL and/or other NRTLs
  • Experience supporting engineering teams on standards-driven design decisions preferred
  • Experience with UL or CSA Field Inspections or Evaluations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Interpret codes and standards (NEC, UL, CSA, ANSI/IEEE C37.20) and provide actionable guidance
  • Lead technical resource to engineering teams on compliance pathways
  • Interface with UL and NRTLs for certification and testing
  • Ensure new designs and changes comply with standards
  • Interpret changes to codes and standards and provide training
