💼 About This Role

You'll operate heavy equipment and handle materials in a shipyard setting, supporting the construction and repair of autonomous vessels for the Department of Defense. Your daily tasks will involve loading and unloading materials and performing equipment inspections. You'll collaborate with various trades to maintain efficient workflows in a fast-paced production environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Read production schedules and work orders to determine items to move
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other power equipment
• Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and refueling of equipment
• Assist in training and development of junior operators

📋 Requirements

• Ability to work aloft on scaffold or manlifts and in confined spaces
• Knowledge of shipyard safety policies including PPE and fire prevention
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced ship production environment

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment in a shipyard
• Forklift or crane certification
• Prior experience in vessel construction or repair
