In this individual contributor sales role, you will find, develop, and close new merchant partnerships for Groupon within an assigned region. You own your book of business, manage the full sales cycle, and use consultative selling to help local businesses thrive while meeting your targets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of business development or full-cycle sales experience with proven quota attainment
  • Experience working with local or small business merchants strongly preferred
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and prospecting skills
  • Comfortable in a competitive, performance-driven environment
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business by cold calling and prospecting local merchants within an assigned region across all verticals
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to negotiation and close
  • Prospect new accounts through networks, research, and lead management pipeline
  • Develop understanding of each merchant's business to position Groupon as the right solution
  • Own contract negotiation including margins, discounts, and deal structure
