Description

As a Staff Backend Engineer at Sigma Computing, you'll build high-performance distributed services and APIs on a modern data platform, working with Rust, Go, GraphQL, Node, and Kubernetes. You'll solve challenging problems in interactive data exploration and collaborate on designing new features for a fast-growing user base.

Requirements

• 5+ years industry experience building high-quality software
• Experience building and deploying robust web applications in a continuous deployment environment
• Desire to be a great teammate and take ownership of work
• Strong sense of craftsmanship and academic curiosity
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Solve challenging problems in interactive data warehouse exploration and analysis
• Build backend distributed services, algorithms, and modern APIs for a cloud application
• Triage, debug, and resolve product or system issues
• Design and implement new software features to support a growing user base
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews
