💼 About This Role

You'll join Upgrade's fintech team reviewing merchant applications and financials to ensure compliance with program guidelines. You'll make risk decisions directly impacting customer access to credit. This role partners with merchants to deliver a best-in-class experience while adhering to regulatory requirements like BSA/AML.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Verify merchant application information and collect missing data
• Analyze and underwrite new merchant applications
• Re-evaluate existing merchant accounts for internal stakeholders
• Read and interpret commercial credit reports to assess risk

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years of business or merchant underwriting experience
• 2+ years in payments or financial services industry
• Ability to analyze financial statements including balance sheets and income statements

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Tableau or Google Sheets
• Knowledge of AI-driven strategies in application review
• Familiarity with BSA/AML/KYC regulations
