Description

You will design and build large-scale distributed backend systems for Placer.ai's location analytics platform, owning services end-to-end from architecture to production. You'll work with massive datasets, power ML-driven insights, and collaborate with product and data science teams to turn complex data into impactful features.

Requirements

• 8+ years backend engineering in high-scale B2B SaaS or data products
• Proven track record with production-grade distributed systems
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Go, Node.js, or .NET, with bias toward Python
• Hands-on experience with data-intensive systems and complex data pipelines
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve large-scale distributed backend systems
• Own services end-to-end from architecture to production and monitoring
• Drive performance, scalability, and reliability using data and metrics
• Build infrastructure and data pipelines for ML, analytics, and real-time use cases
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and Analytics to turn data into features
