๐ผ About This Role
You'll join Fastly's Tier I Customer Support Engineering team, troubleshooting VCL logic and serverless compute for edge cloud customers. Your core impact will be resolving technical inquiries and optimizing configurations to ensure fast, reliable digital experiences. This entry-level role offers clear career progression into higher tiers.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Debug VCL logic and Compute (Wasm) applications for customers
- Guide customers through Fastly Control Panel and RBAC configurations
- Resolve technical inquiries via email, chat, and Slack with <30 min FRT
- Participate in on-call rotation for live event monitoring
๐ Requirements
- 2-4 years in technical support, sysadmin, or network role
- Demonstrated understanding of HTTP/s, TCP/IP, TLS, and DNS
- Proficiency in VCL, Python, Ruby/Go, JavaScript, or Rust
- Experience with SaaS control panels and RESTful APIs via CLI
โจ Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or MIS
- Experience with Varnish or CDN/cloud computing
- Familiarity with logging tools like DataDog or New Relic
