💼 About This Role

You'll support students with disabilities in a K-8 school environment, helping them stay safe and engaged. You'll build relationships with students and families, assist teachers with lessons, and prioritize tasks to ensure student success. This role is critical for student support and offers a chance to make a real impact in special education.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Assist students with special needs in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Ensure safety of students on caseload during school activities
  • Build relationships with students and parents to foster engagement
  • Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders

📋 Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or 60 completed college credits or proof of passing the ETS Paraprofessional Exam
  • Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move quickly between indoor and outdoor settings

✨ Nice to Have

  • Previous experience working with students in small group and RTI settings
  • Understanding of how to read and understand a student's IEP
  • Desire to become a certified teacher long term
