Description

You will own the entire process of designing, manufacturing, testing, and qualifying valves and actuators for Stoke Space's Nova launch vehicle. Work with a small, well-supported team to rapidly iterate and produce reliable, manufacturable components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 5+ years experience in valve design, build, and testing for aerospace or industrial applications
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly experience
• Knowledge of compressible flow, thermodynamics, structures, control systems, cryogenics, and instrumentation
• Proficiency with instrumentation and fluid analysis tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect design requirements and create concepts for valves and actuators
• Design components using Siemens NX CAD and perform structural/fluids analysis
• Create manufacturing planning and participate in builds on production floor
• Execute acceptance, development, and qualification testing
• Coordinate with suppliers and incorporate design for manufacturing best practices
