💼 About This Role

You'll join Sigma Computing's Compiler Team to build core systems that transform spreadsheet interactions into highly optimized SQL queries for cloud data warehouses. Your work will enable users to perform exploratory analytics on large-scale data without deep technical knowledge. You'll tackle challenges at the intersection of data modeling, query compilation, and interactive analytics.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain compiler infrastructure and intermediate representations
• Apply advanced optimization strategies to improve query performance and accuracy
• Contribute to backend (Rust) and frontend (TypeScript) foundations
• Debug and resolve complex issues in a rapidly evolving product

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years experience engineering high-quality software systems
• Demonstrated success building and maintaining complex infrastructure or core platform services
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals in compilers, algorithms, and SQL optimization
• Experience working in an iterative, high-cadence environment

• Exposure to distributed systems, query optimization, or database internals
• Experience with API or data model design for high-performance cloud services
