💼 About This Role

You'll build a lifecycle-orchestrator service as a technical leader on the Merchant Partner Lifecycle team, addressing critical architectural risks. Your work will deliver immediate availability improvements through system simplification and isolation, modernizing older parts of the codebase. You'll utilize agentic development tools like Claude Code to automate development processes.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and expand the platform to scale to hundreds of thousands of merchants
• Align scope of work with other teams for cross-team projects
• Execute technical strategy for complex requirements
• Utilize agentic development tools like Claude Code

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years as a backend software engineer
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and distributed systems
• Experience with API design (HTTP and RPC), data models, state machines
• Experience designing and launching backend systems (AWS, gRPC, Snowflake, Kotlin, etc.)

✨ Nice to Have

• Java and Kotlin experience
• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Sentry, Rollbar, Chronosphere, Kibana)
• Proficiency in asynchronous communication (tech specs, ADRs)
