Description

You will act as the technical architect and strategic leader for Ripple's data platform, building a unified view of data across all business units, establishing the definitive source of truth for company metrics, and leading the AI transformation for data. You'll collaborate across data teams and with senior leadership to define the technical vision that connects systems at the intersection of architecture, integration, governance, and applied AI.

Requirements

• 14+ years in data engineering, architecture, or related fields with senior technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in modern data architecture (data mesh, lakehouse) and hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dBT, Databricks, cloud-native services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience in metrics governance and semantic layers, building metrics stores or business glossaries.
• Demonstrated experience with AI/ML in data engineering (e.g., feature stores, AI-powered data quality, LLMs, agentic systems).
• Strong communication skills, ability to present to VP/C-level audiences.

Responsibilities

• Architect Unified Data Fabric to create a single view of Ripple's data across business units.
• Build and maintain the Ripple Metrics Store as the definitive source of truth for business metrics.
• Define and lead the AI roadmap for the Data organization, including AI agents for conversational analytics.
• Lead cross-team architectural reviews and set technical standards for data decisions.
• Mentor engineers and serve as technical consultant to senior leadership on long-term bets.
