Description

You'll design and implement search functionalities in a PaaS ecommerce Scala backend, working on a scalable multi-tenant architecture. Analyze user needs, test software components, and collaborate with Product Management and DevOps. Participate in on-call rotations for production systems.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working in search
Experience with building search solutions on Elasticsearch (preferred), Solr, OpenSearch
Fluent English communication skills
Curiosity for using AI tools to work smarter
Nice to have: experience with Scala, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, Kubernetes, Helm

Responsibilities

Design and implement search functionalities in a PaaS ecommerce Scala backend
Develop in a scalable and multi-tenant architecture
Analyze user needs and discuss technical approaches
Test software components regarding usability, functionality, and performance
Participate in on-call rotations with a worldwide distributed team
