💼 About This Role

You'll assemble, integrate, test, and troubleshoot high-reliability electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems for advanced Earth-observation spacecraft and airborne platforms. Your precision work directly supports flight hardware that delivers new ways of understanding the physical world. You'll collaborate with engineers from NASA/JPL and OpenAI backgrounds.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly of subsystems using engineering drawings and procedures
  • Route, secure, and dress wiring harnesses to aerospace workmanship standards
  • Support functional testing, diagnostics, and environmental test campaigns
  • Maintain build records, test logs, and non-conformance documentation

📋 Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in electro-mechanical or electro-optical assembly for high-reliability hardware
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with precision tools, soldering, and mechanical assembly techniques
  • Working knowledge of ESD practices and high-quality workmanship standards

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience with aerospace, optical, or spaceflight hardware (avionics boxes, optical assemblies)
  • IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 workmanship standards (certification a plus)
  • Experience in cleanroom or controlled lab environments
