Description

You will design and integrate thermal management systems for a diesel-electric platform used in agricultural laser weeding, including defining components, performing thermal analysis, and validating through testing and field trials.

Requirements

• 6–15 years experience designing thermal management systems for automotive, off-highway, or agricultural equipment
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and Ansys CFD or equivalent
• Deep experience with radiators, oil coolers, chillers, pumps, fans, and coolant circuits
• Knowledge of automotive/agricultural durability requirements and validation testing
• BS+ in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Define and select thermal system components (chillers, radiators, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.)
• Architect cooling systems for diesel engines, generators, motors, batteries, and lasers
• Perform thermal load analysis, pressure drop calculations, and heat rejection tradeoffs
• Design coolant routing, hose layouts, fittings, and sealing strategies
• Lead thermal validation testing and support prototype builds and field trials
