💼 About This Role

You'll own legal counsel across the full product lifecycle at AngelList, working on private markets infrastructure for fund formation and investor tools. You'll shape the regulatory playbook for securities law and privacy frameworks while embedded with product and engineering teams. This role reports directly to the General Counsel of Product.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own legal counsel across the full product lifecycle from design to launch.
• Advise on securities law, privacy frameworks, and compliance regimes.
• Draft and evolve core legal documents for fund products and investor tools.
• Build scalable legal processes that preserve product velocity.

📋 Requirements

• JD from a top-tier law school and active bar membership.
• 6–10 years of legal experience in fintech, venture capital, or SaaS.
• Deep product counseling experience with securities law and privacy.
• Track record of owning complex initiatives end-to-end.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Meridian or similar fund infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Securities Act of 1933, Exchange Act of 1934, ICA, IAA.
• Background in startup or venture capital ecosystems.
